**Job Title: Welder II and III** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled welders to join our team as Welder II and III. The role involves performing tack and bead welds using Arc welders, electrode rods, and oxygen/acetylene torches to cut metals. Successful candidates will operate hand and power tools to grind, bevel, fit metals together, and remove slag, selecting proper electrodes and holders while regulating current and time. Welding certification is preferred, along with over five years of experience in welding and fabrication. **Responsibilities** + Utilize modification and welding skills (minimum AWS 3G/4G level) to rework cab and other components. + Perform welding (AWS 3G/4G) according to blueprints. + Learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete welding tasks in the assigned area. + Fabricate components from raw stock and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings, and blueprints. + Understand and articulate the production flow of an assigned product line or area. + Self-check work and inspect prior processes. + Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools as required. + Meet production goals and maintain a clean and safe work area. + Initiate process improvements and support 5S in the work area. + Lead or perform lean events. + Communicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues. + Solve complex problems with minimal assistance. **Essential Skills** + Mig welding and proficiency with measurement tools. + Tape measure and blueprint reading. + Fabrication skills, including TIG welding. + Basic computer skills. + Ability to pass required welding certification tests in AWS material sections: D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.6, and D9.1. + Understanding AWS welding symbols. + Set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines. + Proficiency in MIG or TIG welding of steel, stainless, and aluminum. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 5 plus years of related experience. + Excellent attendance and positive attitude. + Strong and consistent attention to detail. + Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task. + Team-oriented mindset. + Previous experience and/or certifications preferred. + Ability to read and comprehend blueprints including weld specifications at a high level. + Willingness to learn and rotate within various weld areas. + Capacity to wear PPE respirators for extended periods. + Openness to pursue additional training. **Why Work Here?** We provide opportunities for growth and skill development, including training for entry-level welders.
