Job Description

We specialize in the manufacture, sale, and service of aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, and specialty equipment across various industries, including electric utility, telecommunications, tree care, construction, and light and sign maintenance in over 120 countries. With a recent expansion allowing for a significant production increase, we are currently seeking skilled MIG welders to join our team.

ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to determine sequence and methods of assembling components.Read and interpret work orders.Use basic hand tools such as tape measurers and specialty tools, and operate all equipment within the work area.Perform rework as required.Support production system initiatives and participate in improvement events.Cross-train by moving to other work areas to support production needs.Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material using shop math and layout techniques.Perform MIG welding using various arc and gas welding equipment.Inspect assemblies and components for specification conformance.Trim, file, grind, sand, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces using hand and portable power tools.Train new and current associates.Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and practices.Maintain work area and shop tools/equipment.Maintain daily time records.Perform other job duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience with MIG welding.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and weld symbols.Ability to perform fabrication tasks using various welding techniques.AWS D.1.1 weld certification.High School Diploma or GED.Basic computer usage knowledge.Additional Skills & QualificationsVocational training is desired.Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our manufacturing and production environment is fast-paced and performance-driven. The facility is not climate controlled, requiring adaptability to changing conditions. Dress code includes plain colored T-shirts, jeans, and steel-toe shoes. We operate in multiple shifts, with varying schedules including first shift from 6:30am to 3:00pm, and second shift from 3:15pm to 11:45pm. Be prepared for potential overtime and Saturday work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Daleville, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.59 - $25.09/hr.
