**Job Description**
This role involves working from shop orders, specifications, prints, and instructions to ensure the precise assembly and welding of parts.
You will review material and product requirements, ensuring that all parts are cut and prepared as prescribed.
The welder will set parts in assembly fixtures, position, layout, and clamp them in place with specified orientation to ensure dimensional accuracy.
You will select welding parameters according to specified weld procedures and fit, tack, and weld joints in specific locations with designated welding procedure specifications and configurations, ensuring compliance with weld size, weld continuity, fill, distortion, and cosmetic requirements.
The welder is solely responsible for his or her weld quality, which will be inspected.
**Responsibilities**
+ Work from shop orders, specifications, prints, and instructions.
+ Review material and product requirements; ensure parts are cut and prepared as prescribed.
+ Set parts in assembly fixtures and clamp them in place to ensure dimensional accuracy.
+ Select welding parameters per specified weld procedures.
+ Fit, tack, and weld joints in specific locations with designated welding procedure specifications.
+ Ensure compliance with weld size, weld continuity, fill, distortion, and cosmetic requirements.
+ Maintain responsibility for weld quality, subject to inspection.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
+ Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
+ Self-motivated and sufficient.
+ Ability to work in a team and willingness to help others.
+ Strong attendance, attitude, and work ethic.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with aluminum and steel welding.
+ Capability to work from shop orders.

**Work Environment and Shift**
This position is based in an open-air manufacturing facility, which can be hot during the summer and cold during the winter.
1st shift is 5:30a-4p Monday through Thursday
2nd shift is 3:30p or 4p - 2:00a or 2:30a Monday through Thursday
OT is always voluntary but typically available.
OT is usually worked Friday and/or Saturday 5:30a-10:30a - sometimes people can stay late and get OT during the week as well
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Ocala,FL.
