Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder proficient in MIG welding, primarily focusing on aluminum. The role involves prepping parts for welding assembly according to drawings and prints, tack welding parts, and performing in-process inspections to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications using proper tools.

ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding primarily on aluminum.Prep parts for welding assembly per drawings and prints.Tack weld parts according to drawings and prints.Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.Utilize basic measuring tools, including tape measure, protractor, and calipers.Conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications using proper tooling.Complete all in-process paperwork and documentation accurately.Essential SkillsProficiency in MIG welding.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience in layout of parts from blueprints prior to welding.Skillful use of basic measuring tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with TIG welding.Technical school education in welding.Fabrication experience, particularly with aluminum welding.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Join a union environment in an extremely clean and well-lit facility that is partially temperature-controlled. You will work on welding a variety of light posts and bases/base plates for civil applications. The role operates on a Monday to Thursday schedule from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with additional hours as needed on Fridays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Littlestown, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.73 - $19.73/hr.
