**Job Description**
Perform basic fit-up operations in preparation for welding, primarily on high-turn stock and standard products. Use fixtures when available and appropriate, providing set-up for welding operation. Perform MIG welding on products with medium complexity of moving parts and tolerances, regularly welding plate thicknesses up to 3/8" and occasionally up to 1/2". Ensure welds are free from defects and meet blueprint and traveler specifications, maintaining welding time and quality standards. Complete fit-up and weld operations at a level ensuring organizational profitability, and occasionally perform minor assembly tasks. Use overhead crane to position weldments, comply with all safety rules and regulations, and ensure a safe and clean work environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform fit-up operations in preparation for welding.
+ Use fixtures for welding when available and appropriate.
+ Perform MIG welding on medium complexity products.
+ Regularly weld plate thicknesses up to 3/8" and occasionally up to 1/2".
+ Ensure welds meet blueprint and traveler specifications.
+ Meet established welding time and quality standards.
+ Occasionally perform minor assembly tasks.
+ Use overhead crane for positioning weldments.
+ Comply with safety rules and regulations.
+ Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
**Essential Skills**
+ MIG welding experience.
+ Blueprint reading proficiency.
+ Ability to weld from scratch off print.
+ TIG welding experience.
+ Fabrication skills.
+ Flux core welding experience.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $49566.40 - $74339.20/yr.
