**Job Title: Welder - 1st Shift** **Job Description** This position requires performing MIG and/or TIG welding operations on a variety of metal components. The role involves interpreting blueprints, setting up welding equipment, and ensuring high-quality welds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. + Set up and operate welding equipment (MIG/TIG). + Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. + Inspect welds for accuracy and quality. + Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment. + Collaborate with team members to meet production goals. + Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding. + Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints. + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous welding experience or technical training. + Welding certification (AWS or equivalent preferred). + Experience in fabrication, fitting, and robotic welding. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a 4-day work schedule with optional overtime on Fridays. The facility is equipped with positioners that rotate parts, reducing physical strain on employees. **Work Environment** Work the 1st shift from Monday to Thursday, 5 AM to 3 PM, with three paid 10-minute breaks at 8 AM, 11 AM, and 1 PM. Experience a clean work environment with a comfortable temperature and music playing throughout the facility. The company operates six plants, with two located in Appleton, and employs just over 60 individuals in the valley. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Appleton, Wisconsin. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
