Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter for either the 1st shift (Monday to Friday: 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM) or the 3rd shift (Sunday to Thursday: 7:00 PM - 4:30 AM) in Canton, OH. This role involves performing MIG welding, fitting, and fabrication on Structural Steel or Stainless Steel, following blueprints, and ensuring high-quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG welding, fitting, and fabrication on structural and stainless steel.Follow blueprints to fit and fabricate parts.Execute welds up to 1/2 inch thick.Grind and prep parts for welding.Read a tape measure to cut parts to size.Use an overhead crane daily.Assist with cleaning the shop during downtime.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2+ years welding experience in manufacturing.Proficiency in MIG welding on structural metal.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Capability to pass a MIG weld test performing vertical and horizontal welds.Experience operating material handling equipment such as cranes and tow motors.Competency in using basic hand tools.Ability to read a tape measure accurately.Basic understanding of different weld joints.Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8+ hours per day.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with flux core and stick welding.Knowledge of structural steel and stainless steel.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a small shop environment with tenured employees, where safety is a priority. Be prepared to work 10-hour shifts with potential overtime. The facility can be cold in the winter, hot in the summer, and may be dimly lit and loud due to the nature of the work. Despite this, the facility is roomy and organized. Be open to performing various tasks and staying busy.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Ohio.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.25 - $28.00/hr.
