Job Description
The Welder/Fabricator role involves participating in the manufacturing and assembly of custom trailers, displays, and vehicles. Candidates should possess basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety procedures, along with familiarity in a skilled trade. Successful applicants will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of following instructions to ensure high-quality workmanship in all tasks.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with construction and repair tasks of custom trailers, displays, and vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians.Work under supervision to meet project and customer specifications, quality standards, and established project timelines.Follow verbal instructions and complete assigned tasks given by Team Leads and departmental supervision.Perform tasks such as sanding, grinding, and polishing surfaces to prepare products for final inspection.Read blueprints or written instructions and prepare construction materials to build structures.Communicate suggestions, solutions, and other ideas on workplace efficiencies to Team Leads, Supervisors, Engineers, and Peers.Unload and carry materials to construction sites.Engage in continuous learning through on-the-job training and other programs designed to enhance technical skills.Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.Document work performed and parts used for accurate record-keeping.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills1+ years of experience in welding, carpentry, construction, HVAC, mechanical trades, electrical fields, or related education.Ability to read a tape measure and protractor.Strong attention to detail and precision.Initiative to learn and take on more responsibilities.Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings.Mechanical aptitude and ability to use air and electric hand tools.Adaptability to changing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Problem-solving skills and ability to learn the job quickly.Safety consciousness and good housekeeping skills.Effective communication skills and ability to present interpretations of work.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaintain a positive attitude towards team members and other departments.Ability to work successfully within a team and as an individual contributor.Willingness to learn to operate a forklift.Experience or willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Willingness to work overtime when needed to maintain project deadlines.Consistent and stable work history.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Completion of a certification program, associate's degree, or vocational high school program.2+ years' experience in welding, carpentry, building trades, HVAC, mechanical trade, electrical, or similar skilled trade.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is dynamic and versatile, requiring adaptability to changing tasks and priorities. It is a non-climate controlled construction-like environment, with work scheduled for the 2nd shift from 1pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Thursday.

This is a Contract position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
