Join our dynamic team in a pre-fabrication shop, where you will utilize your expertise to weld together frames for modular units. This role involves MIG and fluxcore welding on structural steel, with an emphasis on producing clean, strong welds. You will read and interpret blueprints and engage in both flat and horizontal welding, with occasional vertical tasks.

ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG and fluxcore welding on structural steel.Read and interpret blueprints for accurate welding execution.Control AMP and tolerances to ensure high-quality welds.Cut materials and use grinders to finish welds.Read and measure accurately using tape measure.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in MIG welding on structural steel.Proficient in fluxcore welding on larger units and thicker steel.Strong mechanical aptitude with math and measuring skills.Ability to read blueprints, wire diagrams, and written instructions.Additional Skills & QualificationsCapability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.Own basic hand tools and know proper usage.Experience in fitting, fabrication, and production welding.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Experience a fast-paced, construction-related pre-fabrication shop environment. Safety is paramount, requiring steel toe boots and safety glasses. The role operates on a second shift from 4pm-2am, Monday to Friday, with some weekends upon prior notice. Dress code includes long pants and a t-shirt, with a structured 30-minute lunch break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ruther Glen, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
