**Job Title: 1st shift Welder | Canton | $20-$25** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Canton. This role offers competitive hourly pay and operates on a 1st shift schedule, working four 10-hour days from Monday to Thursday, with occasional work on Fridays. You will be part of the weld fab department, working closely with the Fab Supervisor. The primary focus will be on performing MIG welding on structural steel, with some rare work on stainless steel. **Responsibilities** + Perform MIG welding on structural steel and occasional stainless steel. + Fabricate and fit parts together from blueprints. + Conduct welding in horizontal and vertical positions. + Use overhead cranes to stand material up and tack beams in place. + Utilize hand and power tools to fit parts together. + Perform grinding, torch cutting, and finishing as needed. **Essential Skills** + Valid welding certification. + Experience in MIG/Flux welding on structural steel. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. + Capability in vertical welding. + Minimum of 2 years of working experience or graduation from a welding school with AWS certifications. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Leadership or supervision experience in a fabrication environment. + Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. + AWS certification will be provided if not already possessed. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that values its employees and offers a $2000 retention sign-on bonus. The dress code includes wearing steel toe boots and safety glasses, and you must have your own basic tools. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Ohio. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
