**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** Join a dynamic welding team in a renowned company specializing in the manufacturing and marketing of auto parts, including mufflers, silencers, exhaust tubes, thermal management tubing, and hydraulic assemblies. Expand your skills in a company with a rich history since 1939 and 23 locations. **Responsibilities** + Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel materials. + Prepare materials before welding, ensuring accuracy and readiness. + Read and interpret blueprints or welding symbols to execute precise welds. + Maintain the quality and strength of welds, ensuring they pass inspections. + Minimize distortion or warping using effective welding techniques. + Adhere to safety precautions and OSHA regulations during welding operations. + Work comfortably in various welding positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding. + Experience with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. + Ability to read blueprints. + Pass a math test involving simple arithmetic and measurement identification. + Pass a MIG/TIG weld test. + Ability to work 50 hours per week. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with fabrication and grinding. + Understanding of welding machines and tools. + Familiarity with safety standards related to welding. **Why Work Here?** Benefit from onsite training and certifications, with opportunities for advancement in a company experiencing growth. Safety is the number one concern, and all PPE is provided. Each welder is assigned their own booth equipped with a snorkel system to vacuum debris. Shifts are available on 1st (5:00am - 3:30pm) and 2nd (3:30pm - 2:00am) with a 10% shift differential for the latter. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
