**Job Title: MIG Welder**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform welding on mild carbon steel in various positions, utilizing their expertise in MIG welding techniques. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, utilize hand tools, and complete projects within specified target times.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform MIG welding on mild carbon steel (7-14 gauge, mainly 12 gauge) in horizontal, vertical, and circular positions.
+ Utilize grinders and other hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and hammers.
+ Occasionally read blueprints to guide welding tasks.
+ Operate a hand cart to transport materials needed for welding.
+ Complete welding projects within the allotted target time, which can range from 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on experience and product complexity.
+ Lift up to 75 lbs as required.
+ Operate hydraulic welding tables effectively.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in MIG welding.
+ Ability to read and interpret tape measures.
+ Experience in welding in vertical, horizontal, and circular positions.
+ Capacity to lift up to 75 lbs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 1-2 years of experience welding in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

**Work Environment**
The work environment consists of 40 welding booths equipped with hydraulic tables, fabrication machinery such as presses and saws, conveyors, and forklifts. The setting is heavy industrial, not well-lit, and can be dirty. Employees work independently in their own booths but interact with team leads or supervisors as needed. Personal protective equipment including steel toe boots, eye protection, hoods, gloves, and sleeves are required and provided. The majority of the workforce is Spanish-speaking, and the facility is non-union.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of University Park, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
