**Job Title: Welder/Fitter** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work either the 1st shift (Monday to Friday: 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM) or the 3rd shift (Sunday to Thursday: 7:00 PM - 4:30 AM) in Canton, OH. The role involves performing MIG welding, fitting, and fabrication on structural steel or stainless steel, following blueprints for precise fitting and fabrication of parts. **Responsibilities** + Perform MIG welding and fitting on structural steel or stainless steel. + Follow blueprints to perform fitting and fabrication of parts. + Conduct welds up to 1/2 inch. + Grind and prep parts for welding. + Read tape measures to cut parts to size. + Operate overhead cranes daily. + Assist with cleaning the shop during downtime. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 2 years welding experience in manufacturing. + Proficiency in MIG welding on structural metal. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Capability to pass MIG weld test, performing vertical and horizontal welds. + Experience operating material handling equipment such as cranes and tow motors. + Ability to operate basic hand tools. + Proficient in reading tape measures. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic understanding of different weld joints. + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on feet for 8+ hours per day. **Why Work Here?** Join a growing company in the energy sector that offers long-term job security and promotes from within. It can be loud, but it is spacious and organized with a strong emphasis on safety. The position requires flexibility to work around 10 hours of overtime per week. 1st shift hours are Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with a lunch break from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. The team currently works extended hours during the week and Saturdays, with weekday end times at 3:00 PM and flexible Saturday hours when required. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.25 - $28.00/hr.
