**Job Title: Weld Destruct Operator - 1st Shift** **Job Description** This operation requires the tear down of the metal part/material by using a tear down gun, plasma cutter and any other hand tools as needed for a safe operation. This job is very physically demanding and the operator is exposed to very loud noise. Frequent lifting of moderately heavy material. **Responsibilities** + Follow all safety requirements. + Perform assembly on parts and conduct quality inspections on in-process and finished products. + Ensure parts are 100% defect-free before continuing the process. + Maintain records of production and scrap figures. + Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean and orderly. + Follow and support company policies, procedures, and work instructions. + Have the ability to stop the process in the event of nonconformity. + Work within a team environment. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of manufacturing/assembly experience. + 1 year of quality inspection/destructing weld experience. + Ability to work overtime and 12-hour shifts. + High attention to detail and pride in work. + Ability to lift, bend, and stretch throughout the entire shift. + Steel toe shoes/boots. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with hand and power tools. + Background in inspection/material handling. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that values its employees by offering a path to direct employment after 90 days, annual pay reviews, and holiday pay once direct. The environment emphasizes safety and cleanliness, equipped with 244 Fanuc robots, sub-assembly cells, flex cells, stand-alone cells, weld robots, and dispensing robots. The plant is non-union, with a JIT system for the plastics side. Please note that cell phones are not allowed on the floor. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan.Weld **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
