**Job Title: Sorter** Job Description As a Sorter, you will be responsible for removing metal parts from a metal skeleton, accurately counting the parts, and identifying their quality through visual examination. You will manually remove laser dross using scraping, sanding, or grinding techniques to meet department quality and accuracy standards. The role may require operating material handling equipment, such as a forklift, and involves lifting up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities + Remove metal parts from a metal skeleton for sorting. + Accurately count and document parts that have been pulled. + Visually examine parts to assess their quality level. + Manually remove laser dross through scraping, sanding, or grinding. + Meet department standards for quality and accuracy. + Potentially operate material handling equipment, like a forklift. Essential Skills + Experience in general production, sorting, and packaging. + Proficiency in order picking, using RF scanners, and managing warehouse inventory. + Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and job work orders. + Knowledge of basic hand tool operation. + Ability to count parts accurately and enter information into an ERP system. + Capability to become certified in forklift operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School Diploma or GED equivalent. + Experience in metal manufacturing environments is desirable. Work Environment =Employees are required to wear steel-toed shoes and pants. The work schedule is Friday through Sunday from 5 am to 5:30 pm, where you work 36 hours but are paid for 40. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
