Job Description

Join a dynamic manufacturing company with a focus on efficiency and safety in the York/Thomasville area. As a Packaging Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines by managing bottle feeders and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

Promote a safety culture and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times.Operate equipment safely and efficiently to meet or exceed quality, scheduling, and customer requirements.Clean and lubricate bottle feeders regularly.Maintain a clean work area and ensure all quality standards are met.Assist with special projects such as rework and hand stacking.Participate in Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing teams to identify and resolve areas of waste.Assist with the training and certification program as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Experience in packaging, inspection, and production.Ability to perform tasks such as pick/pack, inventory management, inspection, packing, labelling, food production, and filling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED plus one year of work experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Work Environment

The work environment involves shifts that include E Shift: Thursday & Friday from 5:30 am to 1:00 pm and Saturday & Sunday from 5:30 am to 5:30 pm, or F Shift: Thursday & Friday from 9:30 pm to 6 am, and Saturday & Sunday from 5:30 pm to 5:30 am. The LLD/CAT plant manufactures laundry detergent, involving chemical mixing and heavy machinery, which can lead to hot temperatures. The VMS area focuses on manufacturing and packaging vitamin gummies, featuring a cleaner environment with conveyor and packaging equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
