Weekend Maintenance Technician
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** The Maintenance Technician will perform essential maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and facility operations. This role involves detecting and reporting defective equipment and unsafe conditions, maintaining work areas, and performing both regular preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment. **Responsibilities** + Perform maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and facility. + Detect and report defective equipment or unsafe conditions to the department supervisor. + Clean and maintain work area and equipment to ensure safety conditions are met. + Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. + Provide both scheduled and unscheduled (emergency) repairs on production equipment during, before or after production. + Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs. + Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. + Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. + Comply with OSHA safety and health regulations. + Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. + Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments. + Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. + Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment. + Detect faulty operations, defective equipment, unsafe situations, and report to supervisor. + Assist electrician with diagnostics and repair under their guidance and discretion. + Ensure all actions are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. + Complete all other duties and cross-training activities as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Maintenance technician expertise + Electrical skills + Mechanical skills + Hydraulics knowledge + Pneumatics knowledge + Preventive maintenance + Repair skills + Ability to read schematics + Welding + Industrial maintenance + Facilities maintenance **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with maintenance repair + Industrial maintenance experience + Ability to perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions **Why Work Here** Employees are valued and supported with a focus on training and development.
