Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Weapons Integration Engineer/Principal Weapons Integration Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Melbourne, FL.
**This position may be filled by either at the Weapons Integration Engineer level OR at the Principal Weapons Integration Engineer level based on the qualifications listed.**
The Weapons Integration Engineer is expected to be a highly motivated self-starter with an ability to operate effectively on a team of engineers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Evaluating electrical systems, products components, and applications by designing and testing products
Requirements management, system integration, test plan development, and test execution of a weapon system throughout the entire development, demonstration, and production phases.
General understanding of Platform-Store ICDs for non-conventional weapons to include but not limited to: MIL-STD-1760, Stores Management Systems (SMS), MIL-STD-1553 and Suspension and Release Equipment (S&RE).
The successful candidate should possess some familiarization of weapon simulator hardware requirements and in the definition, design, integration, test, and certification (end-to-end development) and operation of SMS and S&RE. Outstanding organizational skills as well as prior knowledge of lab test environments are other skillsets the will make this candidate successful. The successful candidate will be expected to understand all system requirements, develop statements of work, specifications and interface control documents, prepare, monitor and update program schedules, conduct and participate in all related design reviews, and provide technical guidance to the cross-functional team.

Basic Qualifications:
Weapons Integration Engineer (T02):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 2 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) - needed to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Weapons Integration Engineer (T03):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) - needed to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with weapons STE equipment
Working knowledge of governing standards to include Platform-Store ICD, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760
Experience working with weapons suppliers
Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
