Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work within the IFS business in Singapore to ensure that fiduciary services are delivered in a manner consistent with all legal, regulatory and internal requirements. The candidate should have the ability to work independently with wealth advisors, client advisors and professional advisors, and will be expected to develop direct relationships with clients.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

Being primarily responsible for a portfolio of trust structures. Partnering with the Trust Administrators in the preparation, review and execution of documentation covering the relevant aspects of trust administration; including the onboarding of new trust structures and ongoing transactions including opening of new internal and external bank accounts, distributions, credit facilities, liquidations and transfers. Collaborating with the respective client facing teams, including Client Advisors and Wealth Advisors, to ensure timely and accurate communication with settlors, beneficiaries and professional advisors.  Liaison with the business development team and new business approval team for the onboarding of new structures. Liaison with the bank’s operations team with regards to the opening of bank accounts. Performing fiduciary reviews and other compliance and risk management tasks to ensure that the structures are administered in accordance with regulatory and group requirements. Liaison with the trust accounting team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements for the trust structures. Develop, retain and deepen trust account and client relationships through regular trust reviews and meetings.  Provide guidance to Trust Analysts. Participate in various projects and duties as assigned by management.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills: 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline  A minimum of 7 years’ fiduciary experience, including extensive client interaction, in an international environment.  In depth knowledge of trust law and legal/regulatory requirements affecting international fiduciary locations TEP designation or working towards obtaining a TEP designation The ability to evaluate and propose effective structuring solutions  The ability to assess fiduciary risk to make appropriate business decisions Experience with cross-border tax and planning issues Knowledge of investment and credit products and services Proficiency in MS Office Applications; adaptive to new systems and technologies Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: 

Proficiency in Mandarin language is preferred as the team engages internal and external stakeholders across the region in Hong Kong and China.
