Institutional Investment Solutions (“IIS”) is a dedicated team of regionally based portfolio managers leveraging the firm's global resources to provide customized investment solutions and advice for endowments, foundations and institutional families.  Areas of specialization include: Investment thought leadership, Customized asset allocation; Portfolio construction advice and execution; Manager Selection and due diligence; and Liquidity management and Investment Policy Statement guidelines and assistance.  The team focuses on meeting the investment needs of not-for-profit organizations and institutional families ranging from $250mm - $10bn+ in assets globally.

As a Institutional Investment Solutions, Associate in Wealth Management, you will efficiently leverage both qualitative and quantitative resources to understand complex financial situations and present solutions. You will play a very important role within the team, working closely with senior team members and cross functional teams to help facilitate business development and relationship management activities for the Group.  We are seeking candidates with a unique blend of interpersonal and analytical skills. 

Job Responsibilities:

Play a supporting role with clients:Understand client's investment plan, goals and objectives and work with Senior Portfolio Manager to develop investment plans and custom materials to support ongoing client dialogue, utilize tools to create investment reviews/plans on holistic asset allocation and portfolio construction and tactical asset allocation shifts.Work with senior team members to help execute investment solutions in client accounts in accordance with client plans. Create investment reviews for clients to validate the clients' current investment objectives and prepare recommendationsContribute to new business development and regional expansion by:Supporting new business opportunities with Senior Portfolio Managers and other Integrated Team MembersPartnering with cross functional teams to support key facets of IIS business developmentBuilding strong relationships across internal product, client service and marketing areasPerforming Sales management, including developing RFPs, pitches, road shows, campaigns, proposals, mandates, reportsUnderstand J.P. Morgan’s investment platform, solutions and investment philosophy, and interact effectively with various internal product partners, banking teams, risk and compliance, marketing, etc.Develop a deep understanding of the Institutional client market: sizing, trends, competition, service models, both in the Asia and internationally. 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree requiredCoachable professional with good "business sense" and an energetic/dynamic personalityAbility to work both independently and as a team playerExcellent communication skills, both written and oralProficiency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is required as there will be frequent interactions with clients and stakeholders from the regionStrong analytical and quantitative skillsAbility to multi-task and manage priorities effectivelyAbility to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technology environmentExceptional problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Internet/IntranetAbility to learn proprietary software and databases
