The approximate date of this internship is May/June 2026 to December 2026 and will be located in Orlando, FL.
What You Will Do
We are looking for a Show Control Hardware intern to work with the team responsible for bringing all show elements of our attractions to life! As an intern on the team, you will have the opportunity to:
Prepare, under supervision, basic engineering design and calculationProvide general engineering support to Lead EngineersRequired Qualifications & Skills
Hands on experience with industrial control systemsFamiliarity with control hardware design systemsFamiliarity with PLCsInterest in working in a "test and adjust" construction environmentAbility to work as a member of a technical teamComputer literacy with MS Office productsValid Driver’s License requiredPreferred Qualifications
Familiarity with MatLab and/or UMLAutoCad and/or SolidWorks experienceExperience with RevitExperience working in a professional engineering environmentEducation
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university earning a degree majoring in Engineering, studying Electrical, Electronics or Software Engineering, or related field
Preferred Education
Successful completion of fundamental Electrical, Electronics or Software Engineering courses

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney InternshipBe at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorizationHave not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College ProgramAdditional Information

The pay rate for this role as a Graduate student is $36 per hour.
