**Description** **Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Waysmen** for projects located in and around **San Diego, CA** . This is a full time opportunity with a pay range of **up to $27/hour** based on experience and skill level. If you are a Waysman and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! **Job Scope:** + Construct and dismantle scaffolds, safety handrails, and wooden structures + Clean tanks and vessels in confined spaces + Operate wastewater treatment systems, pump trucks, and perform general shipyard cleanup + Operate high-reach equipment, saws, and other tools + Assist other trades during sea trials and launchings + Install fire safety equipment and prepare material for ship delivery + Move furniture and equipment as needed + Cross-trade responsibilities with paint and blast departments + Maintain clean work areas (sweeping, general housekeeping) + Perform other tasks as assigned **Requirements:** + U.S. Citizen + Able to pass a background check and drug screen + OSHA-10 Maritime and Firewatch certifications required prior to start + Scaffold building experience with certificate in High Reach Equipment and Sky Climbers + Scaffold Competent Person Training + Must be able to read and write in English + Ability to read tape measure and operate power tools + Mechanical reasoning test required + Must be clean-shaven for respirator fit (modest mustache is acceptable) + Ability to work at heights (30+ feet) and in confined spaces + Ability to work any assigned shift + Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, including safety regulations + Tools of the trade + Physically capable of completing all tasks assigned **Company Details** Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
