Water Wastewater Engineer
Job Title: EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join our team in reviewing design plans and specifications, performing quality assurance and quality control checks, and ensuring that designs meet company standards. This role involves working closely with the design team on various projects, including Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects, as well as County and Municipal Water/Wastewater Projects.

ResponsibilitiesReview design plans and specifications.Perform QA/QC checks to ensure designs meet company standards.Interpret specifications and drawings.Recommend changes and document modifications.Collaborate with the design team.Design for current Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects, as well as County and Municipal Water/Wastewater Projects.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Civil 3D.Experience in QA/QC inspections.Knowledge of municipal design, including Water/Wastewater Design, Watermains, Distribution Systems, and Force Mains.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-5 years of relevant experience.A strong background in Municipal Design is preferred.Experience with water and wastewater systems.Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based, with 90% of the work conducted in the office and occasional field visits for visual inspections. We offer a flexible working schedule to promote work-life balance, and PTO is determined based on industry tenure. The role includes eight paid holidays, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day After Thanksgiving (4 hours), Christmas Eve (4 hours), and potential reimbursement if applicable.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.73 - $42.30/hr.
