\t\t\t\t\tThe candidate should have experience working with large-scale piping, valve, pumping systems, and treatment technologies. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible remote work schedule is available if needed. Ideal candidate will sit in the Midwest or Southeast Region due to the amount of projects in these areas.DUTIES:Provide technical planning, biological process and mechanical design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects. Projects may include combined sewer overflow, collection system, pump station, stormwater, hydrologic and hydraulic models and/or other water and wastewater projects.Prepare engineering calculations, run process models (i.e. Excel spreadsheet, Biowin, GPS-X, etc.) and support analysis of alternatives. Utilize effective technical writing skills to prepare technical memoranda to document alternative analyses, basis of design, business case evaluations, P&ID reports etc.Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations using local and state standardsPrepare/assist with specifications and permit submittalsAssist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasksMonitor task budget and progressDocument design changes and communicationsConduct on-site inspections and technical guidance for start-up as neededPrepare project status and other reportsAssist in the preparation of proposalsAttend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.Possess strong written and verbal communication skillsMaintain excellent client relationsMaintain a safe working environmentPublish and present papers at state and national conferences. Can sit anywhere in the US, besides California, however ideally would like someone in the EST or CST time zones. This can be fully remote, with an occasional job site visit. Job sites could be Michigan, Florida, Ohio, Nebraska, and possibly other states.

\t\t\t\t\tMUST HAVES:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringLicensed PE5 plus years of experience working on Water Resource projects, including large-scale piping, valve, pumping systems, and treatment technologiesExpertise in more than one area of conventional activated sludge wastewater treatment liquid and solid processes including fundamentals of nitrification and denitrification systems, chemical or biological phosphorous removal, secondary and tertiary treatment including high rate disinfection systems, solids handling and biosolids treatment is a plusProcess Modeling expertise (using Biowin, GPS-X, etc.)Ability/experience to handle documents and drawings for these projectsBONUS: 10 plus yearsPE Licenselocated within a 1 hour distance for any Wade Trim office, ideally in MI, NC, FL, or TX

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00/hr.
