**Job Title: Water Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Water Technician to join our team at a leading environmental and water quality contractor. The role involves working within the wastewater department of a plant, ensuring that the water entering and leaving the facility is environmentally safe. **Responsibilities** + Oversee well water filters, including changing them and taking water quality readings. + Switch valves and ensure proper water flow. + Test and analyze water quality data. + Document information into the software system accurately. + Communicate status updates effectively with plant managers. + Complete lockout tagout procedures. + Calibrate probes and process equipment. **Essential Skills** + Experience in process flow and water treatment. + Familiarity with environmental and water quality standards. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + At least 6 months of experience in water processing, machine operation, laboratory, or quality roles. + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a unique opportunity to learn about water quality and environmental standards without prior experience. Performance-based yearly raises are also available. **Work Environment** The role is based in an aluminum and steel manufacturing plant. Employees will work independently within a medium-sized team of about 15 people. Safety attire, including boots and shirts, are provided. The work schedule is dependent on the plant's machine operations, requiring self-motivation during downtime. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverdale, IA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
