**Job Title: Wastewater Operator**
**Job Description**
Join our team as a Wastewater Operator, where you will contribute to the efficient and environmentally friendly operation of our facility. You will play a key role in transforming waste into valuable resources while maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate equipment safely at all times.
+ Perform loading and unloading tasks.
+ Clean bio-solids off equipment before leaving the field site or landfill.
+ Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
+ Perform shop clean up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup.
+ Maintain operation records.
+ Inspect, maintain, and control process equipment.
+ Perform mechanical maintenance throughout the plant.
**Essential Skills**
+ Cleaning and maintenance of heavy equipment.
+ General labor and machine operation.
+ Mechanical aptitude and operation skills.
+ Experience in wastewater, steam, or process plant operations (2-4 years preferred).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Communication skills – verbal and written.
+ Ability to operate heavy or agricultural equipment safely.
+ Basic math skills.
+ Efficiency in operating and using a smartphone.
+ Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
+ Ability to follow directions.

**Work Environment**
Work at the Philadelphia Facility, where we operate and maintain a drying system to produce pellets for sale in organic fertilizer and renewable fuel markets. The facility has been operational since 2012, transforming Philadelphia’s environmental footprint and providing tangible benefits locally and beyond. The night shift schedule runs from 6pm to 6am with a 2 on 3 off, 3 on 2 off rotation. Physical requirements include sitting, climbing, balancing, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, feeling, lifting up to 50 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract-to-Hire position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
