Job Title: Wastewater Operator

Job Description

Join a dynamic team dedicated to environmental sustainability as a Wastewater Operator. This role involves operating equipment safely, performing inspections and maintenance, and contributing to the efficient processing of materials at a plant specializing in drying rather than dewatering.

ResponsibilitiesOperate equipment in a safe manner at all times.Perform loading and unloading of materials.Clean bio-solids off equipment before leaving the field site or landfill.Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.Perform shop clean-up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup.Maintain operation records and ensure data entry and quality checking.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude and ability to perform mechanical maintenance.Experience with wastewater treatment and water system operations.Skill in heavy equipment operation and general labor.Ability to efficiently operate and use a smartphone for data entry.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Valid Driver's License.Minimum 2 years of project work experience preferred.Ability to perform basic math and follow directions.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The Facility operates a state-of-the-art drying system, transforming environmental footprints with sustainable practices. Employees work on a Dupont schedule with shift work of 2 on 3 off and 3 on 2 off. The facility emphasizes a comprehensive approach to maximizing sustainability while streamlining costs. Physical requirements include sitting, climbing, balancing, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camden, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
