**Job Title: Waste Water Operator (Part Time)**
**Job Description**
This role is integral to maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy workspace, emphasizing the importance of efficient wastewater management. Under general supervision, you will perform maintenance work to ensure the proper functioning of wastewater equipment and manage record-keeping for compliance.
**Responsibilities**
+ Mix and administer chemicals at appropriate dosages and rates, receiving, storing, and dispensing bulk chemicals and absorbents.
+ Perform critical testing and maintenance of facility wastewater operations according to the operation and maintenance manual, including taking measurements for pH, dissolved oxygen, chlorine, etc., to monitor system conditions.
+ Inform the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) or Maintenance Department in a timely manner about plant problems, upsets, plant expansions, and repairs.
+ Drain, clean, and inspect all tanks and pits.
+ Service and operate electronic samplers and catch and test pH samples.
+ Maintain appropriate records and logs.
+ Perform inspections related to maintenance of outdoor facilities to prevent contamination risk to stormwater and take corrective action when deficiencies are noticed.
+ Participate in and successfully complete training such as Confined Space, Lockout Tagout (LOTO), etc., to enhance job-related skills as mandated by management.
+ Perform all duties in compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
+ Discuss plant operations professionally with employers, clients, visitors, or regulatory personnel.
+ Collect required samples, log them correctly and accurately, submit samples to the laboratory, and review results to ensure permit compliance.
**Essential Skills**
+ **NJ N1 Wastewater Treatment License is required**
+ 1-3 years of experience in wastewater operations
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required
+ Two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred

**This is a Part Time Position - 10 hours every tuesday (pay $35-$40/ Hour)**
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
