Insight Global is seeking a Warming Room Attendant for one of our religious non-profit clients in Milwaukee. The Warming Room Attendant will work in the warming center to maintain a safe and hospitable environment for guests, volunteers, and employees. This is a temporary, seasonal position and is weather dependent. This position will require that the employee be able to work inside and outside buildings. Employee will be subjected to all elements associated with working inside and outside buildings during winter months. The Warming Center will be open overnight 7 days a week through March.
The shifts are 5:00PM to 12:00AM and 12:00AM-8:00AM.
Responsibilities include:
•Greet and monitor guests when they arrive and throughout their stay ensuring they maintain appropriate behavior
•Perform general set up, tear down and clean up; set up cots, launder sheets and blankets daily
•Clean and sanitize the warming house, including mopping floors, cleaning surfaces (tables, benches), and removing littee
•Wake guests each morning, encouraging them to leave by appointed time
•In the evening distribute snacks and beverages and ensure everyone has a proper area to sleep
•Identify safety and security issues and suggest possible solutions or alternatives, use safety precautions in all work.

Skills and Requirements
Prior experience volunteering or working with the public (retail, hospitality, nonprofits, etc.)
Strong problem solving, interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Ability to be welcoming and professional and maintain confidentiality
Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs (if needed)
High school diploma or GED Prior experience working or volunteering in a shelter, soup kitchen, or similar nonprofit environment
Available for on-call shifts
