Warehouseman Lead
Overview ***This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP*** Warehouseman Lead is responsible to assign and guide warehouseman to provide logistical support to all customers to include receiving, storage, issuing, turn-in and shipping, container movement, and maintenance of warehouse supply and equipment’s. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. + Receive, store, issue, turn-in and ship a variety of supplies, materials and equipment + Operate MHE as assigned and holds appropriate license + Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse + Performs other duties and assignments as required Qualifications + Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + Local National + Must be able to obtain a drivers, forklift, and club car license. + High school diploma or equivalent is required + Experience: + Experience and warehousing work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. + Must have knowledge and experience in working with inventory control. + Must have considerable knowledge of warehousing, storekeeping and receiving methods and practices. + Must have considerable knowledge of warehousing procedures. + Ability to effectively communicate with people at various levels. + Must be proficient in written and spoken English. + Must be computer literate. + Must have extensive computer knowledge in order to understand The Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) database + Possess knowledge of safety and environmental issues as they relate to warehousing. + Working Environment: + Working on or around a forklift daily, therefore must understand forklift usage and associated hazards. + Working in the warehouse (dust and items stocked over the head) bending over and reaching for items while using the mobile ladder. + Hearing is essential due to various vehicles driving thru the warehouse to pick up or drop off equipment and/or supplies.
