Job Description
The warehouse worker plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse by providing labor support to the Branch Office. The role involves performing a range of general and specific tasks that can be easily learned on the job, such as receiving, stocking, assembling, staging, loading, and unloading products.
Responsibilities
Package finished products for shipping, including shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling.Pick orders from paper sheets for next day's purchase orders or work orders to ensure products are correctly assembled and ready.Load finished products onto trucks, including items like rice, flour, cups, and packages.Unload products from trucks or containers and stock them in designated areas.Conduct quality control to ensure no damaged products are sent out or stored.Operate within standard operating procedures.Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.Prepare customers’ orders for delivery.Provide fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills
Experience working in a warehouse is a must.Ability to work in different temperature-controlled departments, such as freezer, deli refrigerator, and room temperature, is essential.Attendance is crucial; call-outs must be made 48 hours in advance.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Ability to stand on feet all day.Ability to follow written and oral instructions correctly.Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
