Job Title: Warehouse WorkerJob Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for reading and understanding work orders, loading and unloading trucks using an overhead crane, and effectively utilizing tools such as tape measures and calipers. You will operate overhead and wall cranes safely and efficiently, and ensure the accuracy of inventory by inspecting and color-coding incoming loads. Additional duties include picking and packaging orders, running overhead cranes and forklifts, and adhering to all safety rules and procedures.

ResponsibilitiesRead and correctly fill out work orders.Load and unload trucks in the warehouse using overhead cranes.Use tools like tape measures, calipers, etc., proficiently.Operate cranes with remote controls safely and efficiently.Understand and process paperwork including Mill Bills of Lading.Inspect and color-code incoming loads for inventory accuracy.Pick and package orders as necessary.Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, hand torches, and electromagnets.Adhere to safety rules and procedures at all times.Perform miscellaneous duties as necessary.Run overhead cranes and forklifts.Move steel as required.Essential SkillsProficiency in reading tape measures and calipers.Experience with forklifts and general labor tasks.Ability to handle inventory and material management.Order picking and unloading experience.Computer literacy.Physical capability to stand/walk 90% of the work shift and lift up to 30 lbs.Ability to function in adverse climate conditions (heat, cold).Additional Skills & QualificationsConsiderable skill and care in handling and positioning loads to prevent swinging and slipping.Experience in detecting faulty slinging and slipping loads.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
