Job Title: Warehouse Assembler

Job Description

Efficiently scan, unload, and load packages from freight trucks to cargo containers for plane transportation. Assemble packages inside the cargo container to maximize space and fit the maximum number of packages.

Shift

11am - 7:30pm (must be open to working weekends)

Responsibilities

Unload and load packages onto cargo containers from trucks. Packages are preloaded on carts.Break down and remove packages from carts, then load them into cargo containers for airline transportation.Assemble items 'Tetris style' to maximize package occupancy in cargo containers.Place small boxes and mail into larger bags and then into cargo containers.Maintain accurate inventory records using scanning and tracking systems.Follow safety protocols and conduct quality control checks.Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.

Essential Skills

Experience as ramp agents, cargo handlers, or in warehouse packing and material handling.Proficient with scanners, particularly RF scanners.Skills in loading, unloading, palletizing, inventory management, and order picking.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Reliable transportation to Sacramento International Airport.Excellent attendance record due to strict attendance policy.Willingness to submit to a drug/bg check and a 10-year airport bg check.Must have steel-toed boots that cover the ankle.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
