**Job Title: Warehouse Worker** Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The role involves operating a forklift, unloading trucks, scanning items into inventory, and lifting boxes that weigh over 50 pounds. You will be responsible for opening boxes, unwrapping sofas, moving furniture, and ensuring the warehouse is clean and organized. Additionally, you will assist other departments as needed. Responsibilities + Operate stand-up order picker to pull and put away furniture. + Wrap and handle furniture carefully. + Perform some computer work related to inventory management. + Maintain cleanliness of the work area. + Unload and load trucks efficiently. + Lift and carry furniture weighing a minimum of 50 pounds. + Assist other departments with various tasks. Essential Skills + Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. + Attention to detail with a focus on safety and care. + Forklift operation (experience preferred but not required). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in assembly, production, manufacturing, or general labor is beneficial. + Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry moderate to heavy furniture for an 8-hour shift. Work Environment The work environment includes a large showroom and storage warehouse that is temperature-controlled and maintained in a clean condition. The hours are Monday to Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Itasca, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
