**1st Shift Warehouse Worker**
**Job Description**
The Warehouse Worker will play a crucial role in the operations by picking and packing inventory, following customer order sheets to locate parts for shipment, and carefully packaging products for distribution to customers. This position requires the ability to follow SKU numbers to identify the location of parts within the warehouse and involves continuous lifting of up to 50 pounds.
**Responsibilities**
+ Pick and pack inventory accurately.
+ Follow customer order sheets and locate parts for shipment.
+ Carefully package products for distribution to customers.
+ Identify the location of parts in the warehouse by following the SKU numbers.
+ Lift and handle up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in a warehouse environment.
+ Proficiency in using order picker, picker, packer, and RF scanner.
+ Ability to perform shipping and receiving tasks.
+ Familiarity with using a pallet jack.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Must be able to stand for the entirety of the shift.
+ Strong reading skills.
+ Excellent attendance, punctuality, and communication skills.

**Work Environment**
The work is conducted in an industrial warehouse environment with a small team of about 22 employees. The facility experiences temperature variations, being hot in the summer and cold in the winter, and features an all-concrete floor. Employees are expected to work on their feet on this surface. The company enforces a strict no cell phone policy, requiring phones to be stored in lockers. The position is for the first shift, operating Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5:30 pm.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hyattsville, Maryland.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
