Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking and packing orders, labeling products, shipping and receiving goods, operating a standup forklift, and managing inventory. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

ResponsibilitiesAccurately pick products from shelves based on order specifications.Pack products securely and efficiently to ensure safe delivery.Verify the accuracy of orders before packing.Label products and packages according to company standards.Ensure labels are correctly applied and legible.Prepare shipments for dispatch, including weighing, labeling, and documentation.Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and update inventory records.Inspect received goods for damage and report discrepancies.Safely operate a standup forklift to move products and materials within the warehouse.Load and unload trucks using the forklift.Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift.Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management software.Organize and store products in designated areas.Essential SkillsExperience in picking, packing, and labeling.Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes.Ability to operate a standup forklift safely.Experience in inventory management.Attention to detail and accuracy.Additional Skills & QualificationsManufacturing or production experience.Mechanical assembly skills.Ability to read and understand blueprints.Must have own steel toe boots for day one.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in an indoor warehouse facility with a Monday to Friday shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The environment requires adherence to safety standards, including wearing steel toe boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
