Job Description

The Production Worker I is primarily responsible for supporting production, warehouse, and shipping operations as well as maintaining buildings and grounds. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouse and production activities.

ResponsibilitiesTransfer production orders in accordance with standard operating procedures.Package and ship customer orders daily.Load and unload trucks, pick orders, pack, strap, label, ship, and receive materials.Familiarize with warehouse structure to locate items efficiently.Move materials within the warehouse and outside as required.Clean and maintain work areas and dispose of waste appropriately.Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.Operate forklifts, mixers, pumps, lawn mowers, snow blowers, and other machinery.Conduct landscaping and building maintenance tasks.Adhere to all standard operating procedures.Complete tasks assigned by the Warehouse and Production Manager, managing priorities and deadlines effectively.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or GED.2 years experience in a hands-on physical labor role within a production or service environment.1+ year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in general warehouse operations.Stable employment history.Experience with material handling, shipping, receiving, and packaging.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is situated in a warehouse environment, requiring comfort with both indoor and outdoor shipping and receiving tasks. The working hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manassas, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
