Warehouse Worker
**Job Title: Warehouse Worker** **Job Description** The Warehouse Worker will primarily operate a boom lift or forklift within the warehouse, receiving trucks from distribution centers three to four times weekly. The main responsibility is packing job pack orders accurately, loading and unloading shipments for distribution centers, assisting customers, and managing UPS pack outs. This role involves lifting and carrying materials such as tiles or granite pieces throughout the day. **Responsibilities** + Safely operate the forklift/boom lift according to training methods and procedures. + Handle slabs safely and load/unload customer vehicles following branch-specific instructions. + Load and unload commercial and company trucks, containers, and trailers according to branch-specific instructions. + Pull the correct slabs for orders and transfers, stage or place them in the correct location, and manage associated paperwork per branch-specific procedures. **Essential Skills** + Forklift and boom lift operation + Manual labor + Material handling + Order picking + Shipping and receiving + Heavy lifting **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum of 1 year of prior forklift experience + Experience working in physically demanding environments, regularly lifting 75+ lbs + Safety-oriented mindset + Comfortable operating a 5000-pound forklift or boom lift **Work Environment** The work environment is primarily indoors within a warehouse that is not climate-controlled but equipped with large fans for cooling. Employees are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions when loading trucks in the tile yard. The role involves proximity to material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes, and packaged cement-based products like grouts and cleaning and sealing chemicals for tile and stone. The noise level is typically high. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
