Warehouse Worker
**Job Title: Warehouse Inventory Control Worker** **Job Description** The Warehouse Inventory Control Worker is responsible for overseeing inventory control activities such as counting, labeling, stocking, pre-packaging, stock movements, and auditing. This role also involves sales order picking and auditing, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of inventory. **Responsibilities** + Conduct inventory control activities, including making recommendations for continuous improvement and resolving issues. + Perform cycle counting and inventory auditing, addressing discrepancies and suggesting improvements. + Pick, pack, and audit work orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency. + Label inventory and handle bagging and boxing tasks. + Verify materials received against orders to ensure accuracy. + Monitor shelf life for expiration dates to maintain inventory quality. + Assist in training new hires in inventory control processes. + Manage special handling of sensitive materials. + Conduct material replenishments to maintain inventory levels. + Utilize RF handheld devices for inventory management tasks. + Maintain 5S standards for an organized and efficient workspace. **Essential Skills** + Experience in picking and packing within a warehouse setting. + Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and cherry picker once trained. + Proficient in inventory management and control activities. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse environment. + Willingness to be cross-trained and perform various warehouse functions. + Capability to be trained on forklift operations. **Why Work Here?** Join a small company that offers excellent benefits, including 401K and vision coverage, upon permanent placement. The team consists of 8 members when fully staffed. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, t-shirts, and jeans. The shift runs from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some overtime available. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olathe, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
