Job Description
Join our team in a large industrial hardware distribution center where you'll be involved in various general warehouse duties across several departments and shifts. You'll engage in inventory control, shipping, receiving, order filling, and stocking, utilizing RF scan guns, headsets, forklifts, and other equipment.
ResponsibilitiesShipping: Start times at 8AM and 10AM. Sort, scan, check merchandise, and ensure products are loaded onto the correct pallets/trucks for delivery. Build pallets, stack items safely, wrap pallets, and load trucks using a pallet jack. Operate a handheld scanner, electric power jack, and forklift. Frequently lift and carry 0-70lbs, occasionally over 70lbs. Engage in twisting, bending, squatting, and reaching.Receiving: Start times at 3AM and 6AM. Unload incoming trucks and rebuild pallets using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually. Sort items by department, re-palletize, wrap, and transport them to the correct area in the DC. Verify pallet count and receiving labels, operate handheld scanners, and deliver scanned merchandise to staging areas. Constantly lift and carry 20-50lbs, occasionally over 50lbs. Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.Stocking: Start times at 3AM, 4:50AM, 8AM, or 10AM. Move merchandise throughout the DC, place products on appropriate shelves, and stock inbound merchandise in designated locations using power equipment like reach trucks and forklifts. Operate handheld scanners. Frequently lift and carry 20-50lbs, occasionally over 50lbs. Engage in frequent bending and reaching, occasional twisting, crawling, climbing, and kneeling.Repack Order Fillers: Start time at 5AM. Pick smaller items, fill totes, and label each carton using headsets. Work at a fast pace with timed picking (24 seconds per item), involving running or jogging. Fill boxes/totes with products and place them on conveyor belts for shipping. Frequently lift 0-50lbs+, occasionally carry 20-50lbs. Frequent bending, twisting, and climbing.Full Case Order Fillers: Start time at 5AM. Pick heavier merchandise and larger items, label cartons for product identification, and drive stock pickers, reach trucks, or forklifts. Manually pull cases off shelves and place them on trailer beds. Frequently lift and carry 50-60lbs+. Constant bending, twisting, stooping, and reaching.Inventory Control: Start time at 4:45AM. Audit daily inventory reports and perform physical audits. Investigate inventory-related inaccuracies and resolve problems. Prepare defective merchandise for disposition, schedule pick-ups, and communicate with vendors and buyers. Excellent data entry and computer skills required, along with good math and reading skills. Constantly lift/carry under 20lbs, occasionally lift/carry 20-50lbs. Frequent bending and squatting.Essential SkillsPrior warehouse experience preferred but not required.Experience with shipping and receiving, order picking, and RF scanners.Power equipment, forklift, reach truck, and order picker experience is a huge plus.Excellent data entry and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in fast-paced or heavy labor jobs.Ability to interact effectively with other departments and management.Good math and reading skills.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
