Warehouse Trainer

The Warehouse Trainer is responsible for onboarding and training new warehouse associates to ensure safe, consistent, and efficient operational performance. This role serves as the primary facilitator for new hire orientation, equipment training, and facility familiarization. When training activities are not scheduled, the Trainer is expected to support warehouse operations as assigned to meet business needs.
**JOB DUTIES:**
+ Coordinate with management and staffing agencies to confirm new hire attendance for orientation and training sessions.
+ Conduct structured new hire orientations and facilitate team introductions.
+ Present and review operational safety policies and procedures in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Deliver hands-on equipment training using the “See, Show, Train” methodology to verify comprehension and operational readiness.
+ Facilitate onboarding presentations using the approved orientation training materials.
+ Lead guided facility tours highlighting department functions, workflows, safety zones, and operational expectations.
+ Train associates on standard workplace procedures including timekeeping systems, meeting locations, attendance policies, and reporting processes.
+ Obtain and maintain signed training, safety, and compliance documentation for all new hires.
+ Track training attendance and completion status using company-approved systems.
+ Maintain a professional and welcoming training environment while engaging with new employees on a consistent weekly basis.
+ Provide operational support during non-training periods by assisting with assigned warehouse tasks based on business demand.
+ Must be able to work in a warehouse and distribution center environment with exposure to moving equipment, variable temperatures, and moderate noise levels.
+ Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
+ Perform other duties as needed and requested by department manager or supervisor.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**
+ Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day.
+ Flexible to work overtime as needed including staying past scheduled time, arriving early, or working weekends.
+ Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on an infrequent basis.
+ Ability to safely navigate warehouse environments including production, dock, and storage areas.
**YOU MUST HAVE:**
+ 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution operations
+ Proven experience training individuals and small groups in a structured environment
+ Professional experience using general business computer software and capable of learning new software applications
+ Ability to work with SAP and train associates on the functions required for their role
+ Must be certified, or able to be certified, on Raymond stand up Order Picker, Dock Stocker, and Reach Truck
+ Must be able to complete "Train the trainer" course upon hire to certify trainees and become the certified forklift trainer
