Position Summary:
Provide support to Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager by overseeing daily Warehouse operations. Also perform daily tasks as Warehouse Associate when necessary.
Position Main Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
o Assist Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager in areas of:
o Training, Safety, Auditing and Conduct Daily Pre-Shift Meetings
o Oversee receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments
o Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy
o Ensure high standards of quality and accuracy in inventory, order fulfillment and shipment transactions
o Monitor Warehouse activities to ensure productivity goals are met
o Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained to prevent accidents
o Pick and select products, palletize products, shrink wrap carts/pallets and load trailers using powered equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
o Assist in preparation of WHS loading maps and pre-shift agenda
o Continuously monitor compliance of safety and security procedures
Required Skills and Experience:
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Possess Puerto Rico Driver’s license
· Three (3) years of related work experience
· Available to work any schedule, including weekends and holidays
· Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
· Knowledge/proficiency operating a PC (MS Office)
· This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
· Previous experience in Food distribution industry
· Experience working in a distribution/logistics/manufacturing environment
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
· Proficient in inventory management and/or invoice software
· Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time, when working on the warehouse floor
· Computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Office, excel, outlook)
