Warehouse Supervisor
Job Title: Warehouse SupervisorJob Description

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will meet business objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, and responsiveness. You will provide counseling and support to hourly employees, addressing their needs and concerns as required. You will also address performance behaviors by commending and reinforcing positives while discouraging and disciplining negatives. Utilizing the Quality Network problem-solving process, you will engage the workforce for ideas to improve layouts and efficiency through the Workplace Organization (WPO) process.

ResponsibilitiesUpdate the Timekeeping System (TKS) daily to ensure accurate payroll data processing.Document problem-solving activities using the A-3 reporting format and adhere to local A-3 guidelines.Conduct daily huddle-up meetings to discuss business performance and engage in two-way discussions with employees.Perform weekly safety observation tours and document findings.Plan daily workload in advance and support colleagues to optimize shift performance.Observe contractual requirements and enforce shop rules.Perform daily SOP audit checks and advance skills through the Individual Development Plan (IDP) process.Keep the General Shop Committee informed of all pending activities.Essential SkillsSupervision and management skills, including direct supervision of union employees.Experience in inventory management, logistics, and warehouse operations.Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate others, and perform progressive discipline.Experience supervising people in a union environment is highly desired.Knowledge of shipping and receiving, warehouse management, and safety procedures.Additional Skills & Qualifications2-5 years of warehouse experience.Experience supervising 15 or more employees.Experience with scan gun systems and WMS.Strong people skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse group of employees.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.Problem-solving skills and ability to maintain performance when faced with challenges.Experience leading process improvements or special projects.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a two-shift operation. The 1st shift runs from 6am to 2pm/3pm, and the 2nd shift from 3pm to 11pm. Flexibility to work any shift is required for development purposes. Expect 10 hours of overtime weekly, although it is currently minimal at this location. The dress code is business casual; no frayed, ripped or torn clothing, and no open-toe shoes. Necessary PPE will be provided and must be worn at all times on the plant floor. The facility spans 2 million square feet with about 240 employees across both shifts, handling the shipping of 40-45 trailers a day. The first shift primarily handles shipping to the PDC across the country, while the second shift focuses on shipping to dealers, auto parts stores, and Amazon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
