Warehouse Specialist
**Job Title: Warehouse Specialist** **Job Description** The primary goal of this role is to log in unchecked inventory, receive freight from trucks, and handle unloading tasks. The position requires reading work orders or following oral instructions to determine the materials or containers to be moved. You will utilize your knowledge of warehouse location systems to determine the proper location for items being processed, perform necessary warehouse functions, and complete transactions in automated accountability systems. **Responsibilities** + Read work orders or follow oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved. + Determine the proper location for items being processed based on warehouse location systems. + Open containers, perform necessary warehouse functions, close containers, and complete transactions in automated systems. + Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and shelves by hand or using Material Handling Equipment (MHE). + Secure materials in vehicles with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage during transit. + Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas. + Secure lifting attachments to materials and convey loads to destinations or signal crane operators for assistance. + Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheets. + Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on containers. + Load trucks for Industrial Truck Operators. + Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band them together. + Clean work areas, machines, and equipment daily. + Operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products. + Use automated equipment such as computer terminals, bar code wands, and laser scanning equipment to read, store, query, route, and track data. **Essential Skills** + Forklift operation + Inventory management + Data entry + Mathematical proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) + Inventory control + Material handling + RF scanner usage + General labor skills + Packing and picking + Warehouse inventory management + Palletizing **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with ERP systems + Receiving and unloading materials + Verifying label and shipping information accuracy **Why Work Here?** Join a growing industry with the potential for contract extension and permanent employment opportunities. You will operate various types of Material Handling Equipment, including but not limited to Four Directional, Swing Mast Lift, Side Loaders, Drexel, Hyster fork lifts (up to 15,000 lift capacity), Hubtek, Gantry Crane, stock pickers, and similar equipment. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Oxnard, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
