As a Warehouse Specialist, you will play an integral role in receiving incoming materials and preparing orders for shipment. This position involves supplying corrosion-resistant alloys to our primary customer, Electric Boat. You will ensure the accuracy of goods received and efficiently manage inventory using various tools and equipment.
ResponsibilitiesReceive inbound material and verify its accuracy against purchase orders using calipers, micrometer, and tape measure.Transcribe data onto material with precision using handheld ink printer, electrochemical etching, scribing/vibro-etching/stamping, or permanent marker.Transport materials throughout the warehouse utilizing a forklift, overhead crane, and/or cart.Process materials by measuring, cutting to length using chop saw or band saw, and entering data into the computer system.Assist the Quality Manager and customer inspectors during the inspection of orders.Package materials ready for shipment using appropriate crates, skids, or cylinders.Manage inventory through daily cycle counts.Essential SkillsProficiency in using measuring tools such as tapes, micrometers, and calipers.Ability to read and log data accurately.Physical capability to lift up to 60 pounds.Decent computer skills for data entry.Professionalism in the workplace.Forklift certification.Experience in metal fabrication.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift experience is heavily preferred.Experience with overhead cranes is advantageous.Why Work Here?
