About the Role
At Crown Fine Art, we specialise in the safe handling, transportation, and installation of priceless artworks. As a part of the team, you’ll be part of a team that works behind the scenes to ensure every masterpiece is treated with the respect and precision it deserves.
As a Warehouse Packer, you will be expected to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and maintain the highest standards of professionalism at all times. You will be entrusted with the careful handling of delicate or specialised items, ensuring each piece is treated with the utmost care. Your primary responsibility will be to guarantee that all items are securely packed into bespoke crates prepared for export. Additionally, you will be involved in the handling and installation of artworks across a variety of settings, including galleries, museums, private collections, and exhibitions.
What You’ll Do
Pack high-value goods, commercial items, and art to export standards for safe transport. Build custom crates tailored to item specifications for optimal protection. Carefully handle fragile or irregularly shaped items to minimize damage risk. Keep accurate packing inventories, labels, and documentation for tracking. Collaborate with team members to support an efficient work environment. Help load and unload vehicles to move goods safely in and out of the warehouse.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience as a high-end removal export and fine art packer is essential to maintain the highest standards when handling and transporting valuable items. Proven skills in bespoke crate packing, including expertise in wrapping, t-frame work, and maintaining detailed inventory logs, are required. Experience handling fine art, antiques, or other high-value goods is a fundamental requirement. A strong understanding of packing materials, methods, and protective techniques is necessary to ensure all items are safeguarded during storage and transit. Holding a forklift licence is desirable (though not mandatory), as Crown operates both counter-balance and reach trucks within the warehouse. We seek a team player who demonstrates a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn. Taking pride in craftsmanship is highly valued.
