Warehouse Packaging Technician - 1st Shift - $19/hr

Job Description

As a Packaging Technician, you will be responsible for the labeling, packing, and palletizing of products following prescribed procedures. Your role will involve visual inspection for deficiencies, folding cartons, and sealing them with product labels. You will ensure that products are securely placed in cartons and finished cartons are stacked on pallets according to specific arrangements. Additionally, you will support safety initiatives, adhere to 5S principles, and maintain a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

Carefully package finished products by following specific arrangements.Seal boxes and affix product labels.Stack finished boxes on pallets according to prescribed arrangements.Follow verbal and written work instructions.Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and policies.Lift up to 50lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

Team-oriented and quality-focused.Ability to read a tape measure in millimeters and perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).Good communication skills, both verbal and written.Positive attitude demonstrated through work reviews and attendance records.Willingness to rotate to other areas when business needs dictate.Reliable transportation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

6+ months of packaging experience preferred.Computer literate.Detail-oriented and reliable.Basic math and computer skills.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing environment located in Poway. The role requires constant standing and repeated hand, arm, and upper body movements such as pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, bending, and stooping. You may need to lift up to 50 lbs. The dress code is typically casual, aligning with safety standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
