Job details The Operations Manager is accountable for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the facility.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Primarily working 1st shift, but must be able to work 2nd shift to support these operations if needed

Hours:
1st shift: 7:30AM - 4:30PM
2nd shift:4:00pm to 12:30am
(Must be available to support both schedules) ...

Salary: $30.00/hr (willing to negotiate)


Supervises: Warehouse Supervisors, warehouse staff, and customer service coordinators.


Total Number of Employees: 30 employees overall

Responsibilities:
The Plant Operations Manager is accountable for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the facility. The role directs operations across three key areas:
Operations & Efficiency: Direct warehouse processes (receiving, storing, shipping, returns, damaged goods) for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This includes timely processing of customer orders , efficient receiving (inspecting count, condition, and temperature) , and controlling transportation scheduling. Also ensures accurate recordkeeping and reporting.


Safety, Compliance, and Facility: Implement programs for safety, security, housekeeping, and sanitation. Ensures staff compliance with OSHA standards. Manages food safety programs (including cleaning, pest control, and proper product storage). Oversees the inspection of transport equipment and manages the disposal of damaged products.

Leadership & Administration: Supervises, counsels, and disciplines staff. Coordinates among warehouse operations, customer service, and traffic. Participates in developing operating budgets, revenue projections, and account analysis. Supports sales efforts and maintains professional customer relationships.

Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Skills:
Previously held role as an Operations Manager within a warehouse/distribution center.

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of college or similar experience, with a strong preference for a Bachelors degree.


Experience

3-5 years of related experience in warehouse/distribution management/lead.

Knowledge and experience in Safety/OSHA/EPA/Risk Management

Must have previously held an Operations Manager role with a distribution/warehouse.


Leadership experience

Previous customer communications to ensure timely product delivery and order fulfillment

Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

WFS systems (a program that allows sellers to use logistics to store and ship products)

Camera systems and function navigation

Forklift Operation (Both seated and standing)

Strong Problem solving and labor management/planning abilities.
