The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, optimizing warehouse layout, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient processes to meet customer demands. The Warehouse Manager will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, implementing safety protocols, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role will be deeply involved in transportation planning, execution, and optimization, with significant cross-training built into the position. Experience in transportation operations is essential, as transportation responsibilities will be a core component of day-to-day activities, supporting overall supply chain efficiency and service levels. **Key Responsibilities** + Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping. + Partner closely with the Transportation Manager on routing, scheduling, dock planning, and outbound execution to ensure seamless warehouse-to-delivery operations. + Cross-train in transportation management functions, providing operational coverage and support as required. + Lead and manage a team of 20+ associates and supervisors, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and issue resolution. + Ensure accurate and timely loading and unloading of trucks through effective labor planning, dock scheduling, and coordination with transportation teams. + Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across both warehouse and transportation functions to increase productivity, accuracy, and cost efficiency. + Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory, procurement, and transportation teams regarding shortages, seasonal fluctuations, returns, and customer promotions. + Enforce workplace safety standards across warehouse and dock operations, including leading safety programs and meetings. + Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, regulatory requirements, and company policies across both warehouse and transportation operations. + Support building, fleet-adjacent, and equipment maintenance activities as required. + Operate powered material handling equipment as needed. + Perform other related duties as assigned. **The ideal candidate should possess:** + Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and transportation/logistics processes. + Hands-on experience supporting transportation operations, including routing, scheduling, carrier coordination, or fleet-based distribution. + Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS). + Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with competing priorities. + Working knowledge of safety regulations and best practices across warehouse and transportation operations. + Demonstrated success driving process improvements and implementing best practices across multiple operational functions. **Req Number:** 136390BR **Address Line 1:** 99 Bannister Road **Job Location:** Winnipeg, Manitoba (MB) **Shift:** 2nd Shift **Full Time / Part Time:** Full Time **EEO Statement:** Core-Mark is committed to providing accommodation to people with disabilities throughout the job application and interview process to the point of undue hardship.
