The Warehouse Manager schedules and coordinates daily warehouse activity. Oversees operations staff and schedules the order, flow, and priority of work. Oversees the security, layout, cleanliness, and maintenance of the warehouse facility and the material handling equipment used in the facility. Responsible for providing proactive and excellent customer service to assigned account(s), assisting with scheduling inbound and outbound shipments with Customer’s Carrier’s (including LTL and TL shipments) if applicable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews and retention of employeesResponsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews and retention of employeesResponsible for scheduling and overseeing work, considering priority, workload, customer requirements, and accepted productivity standards.Works with different teams to have been received for all incoming and outgoing shipmentsAssure that documentation is prepared and available for all warehouse activityAssure the completeness and accuracy of documentation produced by warehouse staffTrack activity and inventory using the warehouse management system (WMS)Monitor any required training and certificationsMaintain records of daily inspections, repair and maintenance of forklifts, trucks, pallet jacks, and any other equipmentAssure that all people in the warehouse are equipped with the proper apparel, visibility items, and safety equipmentCommunicate and enforce all OSHA safety standards and company safety policiesMonitor the cleanliness in the warehouse and facility groundsMonitor equipment and tool check-out and check-in control processesMonitor security systems such as locks, fences, surveillance systems, and lock up proceduresResponsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, performance reviews and retention of employees

QUALIFICATONS:

Education & Experience

Associate Degree (A.A.) from college or technical school preferred. Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises warehouse employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:

Certified license of powered material handling equipment.

Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
